Tucked into the foothills above Morrison, just a short drive from Denver, Tiny Town is one of Colorado’s most charming roadside attractions. Operating since 1915, generations of visitors have wandered its miniature streets, peering into tiny homes, churches, businesses, and schools that look as though they belong in a storybook rather than the Rocky Mountains.
George Turner envisioned the whimsical village, spending years handcrafting small buildings from local materials and arranging them across the landscape to create a pint-sized community. More than a century later, many of those original structures still stand, joined by newer additions that continue the tradition of imagination and craftsmanship.
One highlight is the miniature train that circles the property during the warmer months, letting visitors ride through the village and take in the tiny world from a different perspective.
What makes Tiny Town special isn’t just its collection of miniature buildings—it’s the sense of nostalgia it inspires. Children love the train ride through the village and the chance to play inside some of the miniature structures. It’s an attraction that feels refreshingly simple in a time when screens are the main entertainment.
If you are traveling with children, this small-town stop is a must for a day trip the whole family will enjoy.
